IMD Alert! Alert of storm and rain in 20 states amid severe heat, check latest update

It is very hot in many parts of the country at this time. In the midst of this continuously rising summer, IMD has predicted a gradual rise in temperature and heat wave in many states of the country including Delhi-NCR in the coming days.

Apart from this, an alert has been issued in 20 states of the country today i.e. on April 15, 2025 for thunderstorms and rains.

These states are in the grip of the flu.

Several states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh are already under the grip of extreme heat and cold. The temperature has crossed 45 degrees Celsius in Barmer district of Rajasthan. Today, yellow alert has been issued for heat wave in 6 districts of Rajasthan, which means the temperature may increase in these areas.

IMD issued alert-

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for thunderstorms and rains in many states of the country today. The department said that thunderstorms and rain are likely in 20 states including Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. Hailstorm may also occur in some areas, especially in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.

Along with this, some areas of Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha are expected to experience light rain and thunderstorm. According to the Meteorological Department, northeast states like Assam, Manipur and Meghalaya will also receive rain today and this pattern may continue for the next five days.
