IDFC First Bank launches Mayur Credit Card, No forex charges, know more features

IDFC FIRST Mayura Credit Card: This recently launched credit card will reduce your expenses abroad. In fact, you will not have to pay any forex charge for making payment using this card.

If you are planning to go abroad then this is a useful news for you. Card companies charge forex markup fee for making payment by credit card abroad. Now there is a relief news for you. Actually, IDFC First Bank has launched Mayura Credit Card on Thursday (September 20). The special thing about this card is that the cardholder will not have to pay any forex charge for making payment abroad.

Features of IDFC FIRST Mayura Credit Card

  • Zero Forex Mark-up: No forex mark-up on transactions in foreign currencies.
  • Higher Rewards: 10X reward points on spending more than Rs 20,000 in a statement cycle and on your birthday i.e. 10 times more reward points than normal rewards
  • Airport Lounge Access: 4 domestic airport lounge or spa visits per quarter including one guest visit, 4 international airport lounge access per quarter
  • Trip cancellation cover: Compensation up to Rs 50,000 annually for non-refundable portions of flight and hotel cancellations
  • Movie Perks: Buy one get one offer on movie tickets via BookMyShow, up to Rs 500 off on second ticket, offer 2 times a month.
  • Gold Privilege: Up to 40 golf rounds or lessons per year.

Forex markup fee

Let us tell you that card companies charge forex markup fee when you make payment abroad using credit card. This fee can be up to 3.5 percent of your transaction amount. However, there are some credit cards in the market that charge low or zero forex markup fee.
