How to recover UAN: If you are a salaried employee in a big private firm, then you must have a PF account. A PF account holder has a UAN number. It is very useful. Every EPFO member has UAN i.e. Universal Account Number.
If you do not know your UAN number, then you will not be able to access your PF account. In such a situation, your important work may stop.
Important work will get stuck
UAN is a 12 digit number, which is very important for every EPFO member. If you suddenly have some important work related to your PF account and you do not know your UAN, then you cannot do any work. But you can find out your UAN number by following a process. Let us know about the process of recovering the UAN number.
Recover UAN number in this way
- First of all you have to visit UAN website https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ .
- Now you have to go to Important Links visible on the right hand side and click on Know your UAN.
- Now you have to enter your registered mobile number and captcha code and click on Request OTP.
- Now an OTP will come on your registered mobile number, after entering the OTP and captcha code, click on Validate OTP.
- Now you have to enter your full name, date of birth, Aadhar number or PAN number and captcha code and click on Show My UAN.
- As soon as you click on Show My UAN, your UAN number will appear on your screen.
- Now you can copy your UAN from here and save it somewhere, so that you do not have to face any problem later if needed.
