How to Activate UPI Lite: If you also use Google Pay, then this news will make you happy. UPI Lite facility has been launched by Google Pay for Indian users. This will make it easier for the users to pay for digital payments. Through the UPI line, Google Pay users will be able to pay for everyday needs like groceries, snacks and cab rides. UPI Lite was launched by RBI in September 2022.
Will be able to pay 200 rupees in one go
Users can send up to Rs 200 at a time from the UPI Lite account. There is no need to enter any kind of PIN for payment in this service. The purpose of UPI Lite is to make digital payments easy. It was told by Google that with UPI Lite, the user will get the facility to deposit up to Rs 4,000 in a day for immediate payment. But only a maximum of Rs 200 can be paid at a time.
No need to enter UPI PIN
In this feature designed by NPCI, there is no need to enter UPI PIN to make small payments. Let us tell you that Paytm and PhonePe have already started this facility on their platform. At present, 15 banks support UPI Lite.
How to activate UPI Lite on Google Pay?
- First go to the Google Pay app.
- Find and tap the profile icon on the top right corner of the phone’s screen.
- Here, scroll down and search for the feature ‘UPI Lite’.
- Tap on it. This will open a new screen with instructions and details about UPI Lite.
- Now tap on Activate UPI Lite.
- Link your bank account and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Once the process is complete, you will receive a confirmation message. It will be told that UPI Lite has been activated.
- You can now add funds up to ₹2,000 in one go and up to ₹4000 in two tranches to your UPI Lite account.
