Holi Special Trains: The festival of Holi has just arrived. In such a situation, people are constantly looking for train tickets to go home. Railways has also made its preparations for the convenience of passengers and to reduce heavy crowding in trains. Railway Ministry said that Railways is continuously running festive special trains to take everyone home on Holi. Till now, 540 Holi special trains have been run in different zones of the Railways.

Special trains are running on these routes
These trains run between Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi, New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jaipur-Bandra Terminus, Pune-Danapur, Durg. -Plans have been made to connect major destinations across the country on railway routes like Patna, Barauni-Surat etc.
Work done for the security of passengers
Crowd control measures are being ensured by forming queues under the supervision of Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff at terminus stations for orderly entry of passengers in unreserved coaches.
To ensure the safety of passengers, additional RPF personnel have been deployed at major stations. To ensure smooth operation of trains, officers have been deployed on emergency duty at major stations. Employees have been deployed in various sections to remove any disruption in train service on priority basis.
Measures have been taken to ensure consistent and timely announcement of arrival/departure of trains along with platform numbers.
