There is great news for those who have bought a house in Gurugram. Many areas of Gurugram are going to be connected to the metro. In such a situation, Gurugram residents are going to get the gift of relief from traffic jams as well as excellent connectivity.

Recently, Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) has approved two new metro routes in Gurugram. These two new routes are going to provide convenience to more than two dozen areas of Gurugram.

In terms of connectivity, the year 2024 has been great for the city of Gurugram. This year, Dwarka Expressway (Gurugram part) was inaugurated, the foundation stone was laid for the extension of the metro from Gurugram Millennium City Center to Cyber City, and redevelopment work is also being done to provide world-class facilities to Gurugram Railway Station. Now, the approval of two new metro routes in Gurugram by Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) has added to its glory.

The new initiatives being continuously taken by the present government for better infrastructure are like a gift for the city. This decision will promote the expansion of metro rail in the city, so that the network will reach densely populated areas and connect them to major business districts. This increase in connectivity will not only provide relief to people from traffic but will also give a different momentum to the real estate market of Gurugram in the coming time.

This will be the first route of the metro

. According to HMRTC officials, the first proposed route from Bhondsi village to Gurugram railway station will be 17 km long and will pass through Vatika Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, Sadar Bazar and Gurugram bus stand. This metro route will mainly run along Sohna Road and will connect to the proposed Delhi-Gurugram-Alwar RRTS line at Rajiv Chowk as well as the already approved metro extension from Millennium City Centre metro station at Gurugram railway station.

This will be the second metro route

. The second metro route is 13 km long and will connect Golf Course Extension Road to Sector 5, with stops at Millennium City Centre Metro Station, Signature Tower Crossing, Rana Pratap Chowk and Atul Kataria Chowk. This route will be along Sheetla Mata Road. This route is part of the authority’s proposal to build a large metro network across the city by 2031.

Let us tell you that South of Gurugram is one of the fast emerging real estate hubs in the National Capital Region which is benefiting from its proximity to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and commercial hubs like Cyber City and Golf Course Road. Seamless connectivity to the Gurugram-Sohna Elevated Road makes it an attractive city for professional residents, making major commercial, retail and entertainment places in Gurugram accessible within a 15-minute drive. Both these metro routes are going to prove to be excellent connectors for the entire South of Gurugram and SPR region.

Get relief from traffic jam

Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder and Chairman, Signature Global (India) Limited, said, ‘The two new metro routes in Gurugram will prove to provide better connectivity. This expansion of the metro on various routes will not only enhance the infrastructure of the city but will also provide more convenience to the residents, reducing travel time significantly. As a result, the demand for homes on these proposed routes is also expected to increase. Recent reports show that the premium housing market in the NCR region is growing rapidly, in such a situation SPR, South of Gurugram and Dwarka Expressway are going to be major centers.

Meanwhile, Aman Sharma, Managing Director of Arise Group, said, ‘It is certain that better connectivity will boost residential and commercial areas from Bhondsi to SPR area and South Gurugram. This will increase both demand and property prices.’

While Ashish Sharma, AVP Operations, Brahma Group, says, ‘Gurugram is expanding as a busy metropolis, so these additional lines will not only make daily commute easier but will also improve transportation. Today Gurugram has become a major real estate hotspot, so the expansion of the metro is going to develop it further.’

Gurugram has become a hot choice.

There is no answer to the connectivity of Gurugram city in NCR. Although traffic jam is a problem here during rain or any other problem, but the more the metro expands, the more convenience will increase here. Not only this, along with having various expressways, Gurugram is a city which has the facility of Indian Railways, Rapid Metro, Delhi Metro and the upcoming Rapid Rail facility is also going to increase. Last year, the Haryana government formed Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL), which is going to expand the metro by 28.5 kilometers from Millennium City Center to Cyber Hub.
