Punjab National Bank has made a tweet appealing to its customers. Actually, for the last several months, the bank has been appealing to its customers to update KYC (know your customer). In this tweet, the bank has clearly said that all the customers should get their KYC updated within the stipulated time limit. According to the information given by the bank, if you have not updated your KYC yet, then from December 12, you will not be able to do any kind of transaction from your account. Actually, before this detailed information has been given by issuing instructions from the Reserve Bank of India.
Why is KYC necessary?
The full form of KYC is ‘Know Your Customer’. Why it is so important to get KYC done is a big question. Actually, by doing KYC, the bank has the latest information about the customer. In banking, customers have to fill KYC form every 6 months or 1 year. In this, you have to fill your name, bank account number, PAN card number, Aadhaar card number, mobile number and complete address, so that your bank gets all your information.
Do KYC sitting at home
You can e-mail your document bank for this.
– Apart from this, you can complete KYC by calling OTP on mobile from Aadhaar.
– Customers of many banks can do KYC with the help of net banking.
– If you want to go to the bank and get it done, you can do that too.
For this, take the KYC form from your branch and after filling it and attaching all the necessary documents, submit it.
– Your KYC gets updated within 3 working days of KYC form submission.
