Heavy Rains Alert: Cyclonic storm likely, thunderstorm and rain alert in these states

The effect of cold is increasing across the country, but in the coming days, there is a possibility of further change in the weather due to cyclonic activities and activation of Western Disturbance.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rains and stormy winds may occur in many states during the next 6 days (8 to 13 November). Also, due to snowfall in the hilly areas, there is a possibility of dense fog in the plains.

Heavy rain alert in coastal states

The Meteorological Department has issued a special warning for the coastal states of Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

November 8 : Heavy rains are expected in Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.

November 9 : Heavy rains may occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal.

November 10 : The rain will continue in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal.

November 11 : Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal will remain cloudy and may receive rain.

November 12-13 : There is a possibility of heavy rains along with stormy winds in these states.

Chances of rain in other states as well

Kerala, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh are also expected to receive light to moderate rains. The impact of rains in these states can also be felt in the rest of the states in the form of increasing cold.

Weather will remain dry in Jharkhand

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Jharkhand will remain dry for the next four days (8 to 11 November). However, there is a possibility of fog and partly cloudy weather in the morning. The maximum temperature here can be around 28-29 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature can be around 17 degrees Celsius.

Cold wave affects the entire country

There is a possibility of further increase in cold due to snowfall in the northern parts of the country and the effect of western disturbance. Along with the effect of cold intensifying in the plains, visibility may also decrease due to fog.
