HDFC Asset Management Company has given a big gift to mutual fund investors. The company announced the launch of WhatsApp-based Tap2Invest facility on April 2. Under this, existing customers of HDFC Mutual Fund will be able to invest in schemes through a ‘simple’ tap-based experience on the messaging app. This industry-first initiative is for existing KYC-verified investors of HDFC Mutual Fund. This facility allows investing in mutual fund schemes through a simple, tap-based experience on WhatsApp.

Investors can start a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) or make lump sum investments in HDFC Mutual Fund schemes directly through WhatsApp number: 82706 82706. The platform supports multiple payment options including UPI Autopay, Net Banking and other digital modes. The service prioritises security with end-to-end encryption.
