HDFC Bank : HDFC Bank’s UPI service will not be available for 2 days. HDFC Bank has announced the temporary shutdown of its Unified Payment Interface (UPI) service. The bank has shut down the UPI service for some time due to necessary system maintenance.
The bank is informing the customers about this. HDFC Bank’s UPI service will not be available from 12:00 midnight to 2:00 am on November 5 and from 12:00 midnight to 3:00 am on November 23.
During this time, financial and non-financial UPI transactions linked to HDFC Bank current and savings accounts and RuPay credit cards will be closed. This will also affect platforms like HDFC mobile banking app, Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay, Paytm, Shriram Finance, Mobikwik, and Credit Pay.
What is UPI?
UPI is a smartphone-based fund transfer process that allows users to send and receive money using a unique UPI ID.
Where to see UPI transactions?
Customers can view their transaction history in the ‘Transaction History’ tab under ‘UPI Payments’ in NetBanking. This information will also be available in the bank statement.
What to do if UPI transaction fails?
Transaction may fail due to wrong UPI PIN or less money in the account. So check your account balance before the transaction.
Who can use UPI?
Anyone with an active bank account, a linked mobile number, and a debit or credit card can use UPI.
What happens if I uninstall HDFC mobile banking app?
If users uninstall the HDFC mobile banking app, they will have to re-bind their device to get their UPI ID after installing the app again. Customers are advised to avoid UPI transactions during these scheduled times to avoid inconvenience.
