HDFC Bank UPI Update: If you are a customer of private sector HDFC Bank, then there is a big news for you. On July 13, HDFC customers will not be able to use some services including UPI. Actually, HDFC Bank will upgrade the system on July 13, due to which the UPI service of the bank will also be temporarily affected. Also, in the meantime, customers will not be able to check their bank balance.
It’s time for a system upgrade
The purpose of the system upgrade is to improve the performance and capabilities of the bank and to increase reliability. According to the bank, the time for the system upgrade is 3 am on July 13 and it will be completed by 4.30 pm on the same day. During this period, customers will not be able to avail some services. UPI services will be closed at two specific times.

These services including UPI will remain closed at this time
According to the information, on July 13, UPI service will not work from 3:00 am to 3:45 pm and from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. Netbanking and mobile banking services will not be available during the entire upgrade period. Apart from this, all fund transfer modes including IMPS, NEFT, RTGS will also not be available during the upgrade period.
Transactions will continue through debit card and credit card
During the system upgrade period, customers can withdraw cash from any ATM using their HDFC Bank debit card or credit card. At the same time, the bank balance will be shown based on the balance at 7.30 pm on July 12. Apart from this, customers can continue to use their HDFC Bank debit card or credit card on swipe machines at shops. HDFC debit card and credit card can continue to make online purchases, reset PIN or do other card activities.
Advice from the bank
To avoid any kind of disruption, the bank has advised to withdraw sufficient amount and complete all the necessary work like fund transfer etc. before 7:30 pm on 12 July 2024. To reduce the inconvenience, this work will be done by the bank on Saturday, 13 July 2024. Banks will remain closed on this day due to being the second Saturday.
