He has demanded a ban on Halal certified products in Bihar. Giriraj claimed that there is a big conspiracy behind Halal certification and business. Let us tell you that recently the Yogi Adityanath government of UP had imposed an immediate ban on the manufacture, sale and storage of Halal certified products in the state.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh said in a letter to CM Nitish Kumar that Halal trade is taking place in many food items and other essential commodities in Bihar. These include edible oils, spices, dry fruits, sweets, medicines and medical equipment. Some institutions have become self-proclaimed in giving Halal certificate. Companies manufacturing goods are being given certificates by paying huge amounts of money. Which is a big conspiracy.

Giriraj said that in a secular democracy like India, the size of business related to Halal certification is up to $2 trillion. It is also coming to light that it is linked to terrorist activities. Therefore it should be investigated in depth.

He said that the UP government under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath has banned Halal certified food products. Therefore, Nitish government of Bihar should also take similar steps. Giriraj said that even in big states like Bihar, a big jihad is going on in the name of Halal products. He has appealed to CM Nitish to take action against these divisive and conspiratorial elements.
