The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia has said that this decision has been taken due to the increasing crowd every year during Hajj. In view of the safety of children, they have been banned from performing Hajj.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia says that in 2025, priority will be given to those who are coming for Hajj for the first time. The ban on children has also been imposed for this reason so that they can be saved from the problems caused by crowds. Registrations for Hajj 2025 have started.

Saudi citizens and residents can register using the Nusuk app or the official online portal. Applicants must verify their details and also register those traveling with them .

Which countries will be affected

by Saudi Arabia’s new visa rules include Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, Tunisia and Yemen.

The Saudi Arabian government has indefinitely suspended one-year multiple entry visas for tourism, business and family visits with these countries. Under the new rules, people from these countries can only apply for a single entry visa, which will be valid for 30 days.

Saudi Arabia keeps changing its rules regarding Hajj and Umrah. In 2024, Saudi Arabia advised people to avoid photography due to crowd gathering near the Great Grand Mosque during Umrah. The ministry had asked to avoid taking photos of anyone without permission and photographing near the Great Grand Mosque for a long time.
