The process of GST registration can be completed both online and offline. The offline method is clear that you go to the GST office of your area and follow the process mentioned there, here we tell you how you can complete the online GST registration of your business.

GST online registration

  • If you want GST number for your business and want to apply online for it. Then you will have to go to the GST site and follow these steps.
  • There is a process to get GST number for business. First of all you have to fill REG-01 form. It is in two parts which can be filled online.
  • You have to give correct information in both parts of REG-01 form. If this does not happen, your application may also be rejected.
  • After filling Part-1 of REG-01 form, an OTP comes on your registered mobile number, which you fill and submit.
  • After this you also have to fill its Part-2. Even after this, you get an OTP, after filling and submitting which your GST registration is completed.
  • However, before the GST registration is completed, you are also given a chance to verify the information.
  • While doing online GST registration, you also have to upload some documents. Their information is given further.

Which documents are necessary?

You have to upload the PAN card of your business, if you are a proprietor, your own PAN card, CIN number or company registration certificate or license number.
If your firm is in partnership, then you also have to submit the partnership deed.
Apart from this, you also have to upload the address proof of your business, your and your partners’ ID proof and signature.
