DA Hike: The government is going to give a big good news to the government employees today. The increase in DA will be announced in the Union Cabinet meeting in Delhi today.
According to the information, the government will announce the increase in DA in October but it will be implemented from July. However, 3 months DA arrears can be given in the October salary, along with this Diwali bonus is also being said to be given. With the increase in DA, dearness allowance can increase up to 53 or 54 percent.
A Union Cabinet meeting was held on October 3, in which 78 days’ bonus was announced for railway employees. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed that a bonus of Rs 2029 crore has been approved for railway employees.
Gift to 1 crore people
The central government is going to give a Diwali gift to its employees and pensioners. This time the Modi government has announced a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR). This decision of the government will benefit about 1 crore central employees and pensioners. This increase will be implemented from July 1, 2024.
What is DA?
DA i.e. Dearness Allowance, also known as Dearness Allowance, is the amount given to government and non-government employees. In view of the rising inflation, the government increases DA for the employees. Along with the basic salary, other amounts like house rent allowance are also added to DA, after which the salary of the employees is formed.
When and how much did the increase happen?
1- 4% increase in March 2024 (from 46% to 50%)
2- 4% increase in September 2023 (from 42% to 46%)
3- 4% increase in March 2023 (from 38% to 42%)
4- 4% increase in September 2022 (from 34% to 38%)
5- 3% increase in March 2022 (from 31% to 34%)
