GRAP New Rule: Government closed schools, classes will run online, lakhs of vehicles also banned

GRAP Stage-4: The fourth stage of GRAP has come into effect in Delhi-NCR from today. New Delhi. The fourth stage of restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) will come into effect from 8 am on Monday as air pollution in Delhi-NCR reaches critical levels.

The sub-committee of the Central Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has taken this decision after the increasing pollution in Delhi-NCR. The average AQI of Delhi was 441 at 4 pm on Sunday, which increased to 457 at 7 pm. After the implementation of the fourth phase of GRAP, the entry of other heavy vehicles will be banned in Delhi except trucks related to essential services. NNG, CNG, electric, BS-4 diesel trucks will be allowed entry. In the capital, classes of all classes except 10th and 12th will be online. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said, all schools will run these classes online till further orders.

These strict restrictions in Grape Four

  • -Diesel-powered medium and heavy trucks (BS-4 or below) will be banned, except for vehicles carrying essential goods.
  • -Light commercial vehicles registered outside Delhi will be banned except CNG, BS-4 diesel vehicles.
  • -Trucks carrying non-essential goods banned from entering Delhi.
  • -Recommendation to hold classes 6 to 9 and class 11 on online mode.
  • -The Centre and Delhi government can get the offices in NCR to work with 50% capacity. The rest will work from home.

(Fuel vehicles like CNG, BS-4 diesel or electric vehicles will be exempted from the ban)
