Why will there be a holiday?

By-elections are going to be held on 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh . Earlier the date of voting was 13 November, which has now been changed to 20 November. This decision has been taken by the Election Commission. Actually, due to Kartik Purnima, BJP and RLD had demanded to change the date. In such a situation, there will be a holiday on 20 November due to elections on these 9 seats.

Voting will be held on these seats

Let us tell you that at this time 10 assembly seats of UP are vacant. Out of these, voting is being held in the assembly constituencies of Katehari (Ambedkarnagar), Karhal (Mainpuri), Meerapur (Muzaffarnagar), Ghaziabad, Majhawan (Mirzapur), Sisamau (Kanpur city), Khair (Aligarh), Phulpur (Prayagraj) and Kundarki (Moradabad). At the same time, elections are not being held for the Milkipur assembly seat of Ayodhya as the matter is pending in the High Court.

Banks across the state will remain closed on November 15

According to the RBI’s November list, all banks in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed on November 15. Actually, November 15 is Dev Diwali, on the occasion of which schools and offices may also remain closed. However, no order has come from the government for holiday in schools and offices.
