Govt Employees Salary: Govt has stopped the salary of 2,44,565 govt employees for the month of August

Govt Employees Salary: The salary of about 2.5 lakh employees of Uttar Pradesh government has been stopped. Yogi government has stopped the salary of about 2,44,565 government employees of the state for the month of August.

The salary of these employees has been stopped after strict instructions from the government. The reason for stopping the salary is not following the government order. Actually, the government had ordered all the government employees of the state to give details of their property on the Manav Sampada portal.

Why was the salary of 2.45 lakh employees of UP government stopped?

The Uttar Pradesh government has taken strict action against not providing full details of their property by 31 August 2024 and has stopped the August salary of 2 lakh 45 thousand state employees. At the same time, salaries have been issued to IAS and PCS because their property was registered on the Sparrow portal.

According to the report received from the departments, the salary of those employees has been stopped. Those who did not compulsorily register the details of their movable and immovable properties on the Manav Sampada portal by 31 August. Even after the government deadline, the employees who did not provide the property details, their August salary has been stopped due to government order.

Government asked for property details

Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Manoj Kumar Singh had directed to provide complete details of movable and immovable assets of employees on Manav Sampada portal by 31st August. There are a total of 8 lakh 46 thousand 640 employees in the state, out of which only 6 lakh 2 thousand 75 employees have given details of their movable and immovable assets. 71 percent of the employees have given information about their assets online.

Actually, on the lines of IAS and PCS, the UP government has ordered the employees working in government departments to upload the details of their assets online. However, this does not include teachers and employees working in corporations and autonomous institutions. The salaries of the employees who took the government order lightly were stopped and it is believed that other actions can also be taken against them.
