The district administration in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh has banned the leave of all government employees and officers. After this order issued by Collector Sandeep Kumar Makin, the officers and employees of the district will not be able to leave the headquarters without prior permission till January 26, 2025.

According to the order issued, this restriction will also apply to those employees and officers who are currently on leave. Such employees have been instructed to return to their workplace immediately. Collector Makin said that all employees and officers are required to perform administrative responsibilities.

Decision taken under public welfare campaign

This strict step has been taken keeping in mind the “Jan Kalyan Abhiyan” organized to mark the completion of one year of the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The government is celebrating this occasion as Jan Kalyan Parv, in which many programs will be organized across the district.

The administration has clarified that it is mandatory to ensure the presence of all employees to make this campaign successful. According to the order, no leave of any kind will be approved without the permission of the headquarters.

Discontent among employees

After this order, resentment is being seen among government employees. Many employees, who were already on leave, are now forced to return. Some employees have described this step as affecting personal plans. However, the administration has clarified that this decision has been taken in public interest and cooperation is expected from everyone. Similar strictness is being maintained in other districts as well to make this public welfare campaign organized by the government successful in the entire state.
