After the central Modi government increased the dearness allowance by 4 percent, the dearness allowance of central employees and pensioners has increased from 42% to 46%. The new rates will be applicable from July 1, 2023, hence the arrears of July, August and September will also be available.

The DA of Odisha, Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Railway employees has also been increased, hence these employees will also get 46% DA in November. , Bonus, allowances and 3 months arrears will be paid along with October salary, which will come to the account in the first week of November.

Salary and pension of 1 crore central employees and pensioners will increase from November

From July 1, 2023, central employees will now get the benefit of 46 percent Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) instead of 42 percent and pensioners will get the benefit of Dearness Relief (DR Hike). This will benefit 48.67 lakh employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners. Employees with a basic pay of Rs 18,000 will get an annual benefit of Rs 8,280, those with a salary of Rs 50,000, Rs 23,000, those with a salary of Rs 52,000, Rs 24,000 and those with a salary of Rs 56,900, will get Rs 27,312. If a pensioner gets a pension of Rs 20,000, then after increasing the dearness relief to 46 per cent, he will get a dearness relief of Rs 9,200 i.e. Rs 20,800. Those with a pension of Rs 50,000 will get a pension of Rs 52,000 at 46 per cent DR.

Employees-pensioners of these states also get the benefit of 46% DA and Diwali bonus.
4.5 lakh employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners of Odisha will also get the benefit of 46% DA and 3 months arrears. Odisha government has also increased the DA of employee pensioners by 4%, so 8 lakh employee pensioners will get the increased DA. The benefit will be available in November along with the salary for October. Since the new rates will be applicable from July 2023, arrears of 3 months of July, August and September will also be available. Due to this the state will have to pay Rs 2100 crore more.

Government employees and pensioners of Karnataka will also get the benefit of DA increase. Since recently the state government has increased the dearness allowance of employee pensioners by 3.75%, after which the dearness allowance has increased from 35% to 38.75%. Employees will get the benefit of increased DA in November.

The state government will see an additional financial burden of Rs 1100 crore. Earlier, the basic salary had been increased by 17% in the month of March this year by the state government. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has also increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of state government employees by four percent, after which the DA has been increased from 42 percent to 46 percent.

The new rates will be applicable from July 1, 2023, due to which the employees will also get 3 months arrears. About 3.5 lakh employees in Haryana will benefit from this decision. With 46% DA, there will be a bumper jump in the salaries of the employees.

The MK Stalin government of Tamil Nadu has also announced a four percent increase in dearness allowance for its state employees from July 1, 2023. With which dearness allowance has been increased to 46%. Earlier in the month the Stalin government had increased 4% dearness allowance for its employees.

At the same time, the benefit of increase in dearness allowance will be given to 16 lakh state employees including teacher pensioners and family pensioners. DA of employee pensioners of Rajasthan has also been increased by 4%, after which DA of employees has increased from 42% to 46%. The Election Commission has approved the proposal for DA increase of the employees.

This move will benefit more than eight lakh employees and four lakh pensioners of Rajasthan. Orders in this regard have been issued on Tuesday. According to the order, the increased DA will be applicable from July 1. But the arrears from July to September will be deposited in GPF accounts. After this the DA will be merged into the salary amount.

Railway employees also get 4 percent increase in DA, Diwali bonus

After the Central and State Governments, now the Railway Board has also increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the employees from 42 percent to 46 percent of the basic salary. This change will be considered effective from July 1, 2023. This has been done after the Union Cabinet approved a bonus of Rs 15,000 crore. This also includes a 4 percent increase in DA for government employees. Employees will also get the increased DA in the next month’s salary along with the outstanding amount from July. This bonus money will be paid to the railway employees before Diwali.
