According to media reports, Telangana will also have a holiday today, the Revanth Reddy-led government has declared a holiday in government offices and schools on Friday. Citing sources, the Economic Times reported that all government events will be cancelled on Friday and the Union Cabinet is likely to meet at 11 am today.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has passed away at the age of 92 at AIIMS, Delhi. Confirming the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan, AIIMS said in a press release, “With deep sorrow, we are informing about the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at the age of 92. He was being treated for age-related medical conditions and suddenly lost consciousness at home on 26 December 2024.
He was brought to AIIMS in a medical emergency at 8:06 pm. Despite all efforts, he could not be saved and was declared dead at 9:51 pm.
