Aadhaar Linking-Government is giving 100 units of electricity free. But, now only those consumers will get free electricity, who will link their electricity connection account with Aadhaar. The subsidy amount will come directly into the bank account of the customer.
In Tamil Nadu, now only those consumers will get 100 units of free electricity in a month, who will link their electricity connection with Aadhaar number. After this announcement of the government, the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company (TANGEDCO) has started linking the Aadhaar card of the consumers with their consumer number. But, now complaints are coming that customers are facing a lot of problems at the counters made for this purpose in TANGEDCO offices.
The Tamil Nadu government, which wants to complete this work in any case, has now ordered the officials of the electricity department that there should not be any inconvenience to the customers coming to connect the electricity connection with Aadhaar. A detailed guideline has been issued for this. Power Minister V Senthil Balaji had ordered the officials to make proper arrangements after inspecting a counter made in Chennai.
Correct seating arrangement
In the guidelines issued by the government, it has been said that there should be proper seating arrangement for the customers coming to the electricity offices to link Aadhaar and electricity connection. If the space is falling short, then a canopy should be installed. Not only this, TA/CA/CE level staff should be put on duty to monitor these counters. The complete process of Aadhaar linking should also be explained to the customers. Not only this, the government has also appointed an executive engineer to supervise the process of Aadhaar linking. If this work is slowing down or getting interrupted at any counter, SE will make additional arrangements to speed it up.
Money will not be taken
, if there are computers on the counter or if they are working slowly, then additional computers should be installed. The government has said that the work of Aadhaar linking should not be interrupted under any circumstances. The section officer has been given the responsibility to prevent corruption in the work of linking electricity connections with Aadhaar. Aadhaar-electricity connection is being linked free of cost.
Counters have started from 28 November
Government has started special counters from 28 November to link the electricity connection account with Aadhaar. Earlier the facility of online linking was given. But, in that many people were not able to link their account with Aadhaar due to lack of proper information. That’s why the government has started special counters for this work.
