According to the notification, employees of government-aided educational institutions, panchayats and panchayat employees under the government, municipal corporations, municipalities, local boards and pension recipients of retired government employees and their families will be eligible for this. The notification also stated that the Governor has approved the decision to give DA after examining all aspects. Let us tell you that on December 21 last year, during the Christmas program in Kolkata, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced a 4 percent increase in DA for state government employees.
Central employees are waiting
Here, bank employees have got a gift on dearness allowance i.e. DA. This allowance will be 15.97% for May, June and July. The Indian Bank Association (IBA) has given this information by issuing a notification dated June 10, 2024. Meanwhile, central employees are waiting for the DA of the second half of the year. Currently DA is 50 percent. A 4 percent increase is expected for the coming half year. In such a situation, it is estimated that the DA of the employees will become 54 percent.
