If you are a user of UPI payment platform PhonePe (Google Pay), then there is good news for you. Actually, it has become even easier for Google Pay users to make UPI payments. Actually, the company has made the UPI Lite feature live on its app. Now users can easily make payments up to Rs 200 without entering the PIN (UPI PIN). Recently Paytm and PhonePe have also started this feature.
It is noteworthy that UPI Lite was launched in September 2022 by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das to make low-value UPI payments faster and easier. Through UPI Lite, you will be able to easily do many small daily transactions with a single click.
No PIN required for transactions up to Rs.200
UPI Lite Wallet allows users to make instant transactions up to Rs.200 once loaded. No PIN will be required for transactions up to Rs.200. This will make the payment process easier and faster. In this, a maximum of 2 thousand rupees can be added at a time. You can spend a maximum of Rs 4,000 through UPI Lite in 24 hours.
How to activate UPI Lite feature in Google Pay
- Open the Google Pay app
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the app’s home screen.
- After this click on UPI Lite Pay Pin Free and follow the instructions.
- To add money, select an eligible bank bank account that supports UPI Lite.
- The UPI Lite account will be activated successfully as soon as you enter the UPI PIN.
- It is worth noting that you can create only one UPI Lite account on Google Pay.
