Employees 6th Pay Commission: There is good news for the Zilla Parishad cadre employees of Himachal Pradesh. Before Diwali, the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhku government of the state has given a big gift to the Zilla Parishad cadre employees.
The state government has decided to give the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission to the employees. According to media reports, the Finance Department has approved the proposal for this, now it will come in the cabinet meeting soon.
Employees will get the benefit of Sixth Pay Commission
According to media reports, 4700 workers will benefit from this decision of the state government. The special thing is that the Finance Department has approved the new pay scale from the present time. From the date on which the employees in the state have been given the benefit of the Sixth Pay Commission, Zilla Parishad employees will be given the benefit of the new pay commission. Now the final approval will be given on this in the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meeting. After this the employees will start getting benefits.
The proposal will come in the cabinet
It is worth noting that for a long time, the Zilla Parishad cadre workers were demanding for arrears since 2016, merger in the Panchayati Raj Department and giving the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission, for this they had also organized a strike in the past, however, after the assurance of the state government, the strike was called off.
It was abolished and now the government has decided to give the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission to the employees. Here, a meeting was to be held on Monday regarding many issues including salary related, but it has been postponed due to Chief Minister Sukhu being unwell. Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh says that the government is serious about all the demands of the Zilla Parishad employees, all the demands will be resolved in a phased manner.
Seeks approval from Finance Department to give Rs 15 lakh each to Asiad medal winners
The Himachal Pradesh government is also making big preparations to give Rs 15 lakh each to the winning players of the state who won gold medals in the Asian Games in China. For this, the Sports Department has sent a proposal to the Finance Department and sought approval.
This amount will be released on January 25, Complete Statehood Day or April 15, Himachal Day. Under this, cash prizes worth about one crore rupees will be provided. Separate amounts of money are to be given to six medal winners of Himachal and seven other players participating in various sports in the Asian Games held from September 29 to October 8, 2023. Apart from this, funds will also be given by the Department of Youth Services and Sports to three players who won medals in the Commonwealth Games in the year 2022.
