Increase on the basis of rising inflation
It is noteworthy that the central government revises DA (Dearness Allowance) and DR (Dearness Allowance) twice a year during the month of January and July on the basis of retail inflation data. Inflation in the country has reached above the estimates of RBI (Reserve Bank of India).
The retail inflation rate has risen above the RBI’s tolerance level of 6 per cent. Retail inflation stood at 6.71 per cent in July. For the first half of the year 2022, from January to June, the government has increased the dearness allowance. Now the increase in Dearness Allowance for the month of July to December is awaited.
There will be such an increase in the salary of central employees
Earlier it was believed that there could be an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance. But the data of All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers has come, now after this it is expected that dearness allowance will be increased by 5 percent.
In view of the data of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI), it is being estimated that the dearness allowance of central employees may be increased by 39 percent. The increase in dearness allowance can lead to a tremendous increase in the salary of central employees. If the dearness allowance of the employees was increased from 34 percent to 39 percent, then it is possible to increase the salary from 8000 to 27000 rupees.

The effect of this decision of the Modi government will benefit 47 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners. In general, there has been a trend of increasing dearness allowance from January 1 and July 1. In such a situation, now central employees can get the gift of increase in dearness allowance.
