To make Bareilly city smart, the Uttar Pradesh government is investing enough money for the development of Bareilly.

Bareilly’s divisional commissioner has said that on the basis of the AAR report, no objection has been obtained from the Public Works Department, Forest Department, Air Force and University on priority basis. The shape of both the corridors will be decided on the basis of the report. After highlighting all these points in the meeting, light metro will be able to run in Bareilly soon.

The Uttar Pradesh government has given the gift of metro train to the Nath city of Bareilly. As soon as Bareilly got the gift of metro, the administration and the municipal corporation have started preparations to run the metro in the city. In a meeting chaired by Commissioner Saumya Agarwal, it has been decided to run the metro train from Bareilly Junction to Qutubkhana to Gandhi Udan on a 22 km road in the city. The metro will be run in two phases in the city, in which the metro will run from Bareilly Junction to Gandhi Udan in the first phase. Whereas, in the second phase, it has been decided to run the metro train from Rampur Garden to CBganj.

Where will the metro run in Bareilly

A 22 km long metro train will be run in Smart City Bareilly, which will enhance the beauty and traffic of Bareilly. In this, in the first phase, metro train will run on the route from Bareilly Junction to Chowki Chauraha, Ayubkha Chauraha, Qutub Khana Chauraha, Kulhadi Peed, DD Pur, Sabzi Mandi, IVRI University, North City, Fun City, Suncity, Phoenix Mall, Rohilkhand University, Satellite Bus Stand to Gandhi Udyan. Whereas, in the second phase, metro will run from Rampur Garden to CB Ganj in the city. In the first phase, it will be run on a 12 km route and in the second phase, it will be extended to 22 km.

cMetro train will run through a project worth Rs 5000 crore; initially a budget of Rs 3000 crore was proposed for running the metro train in Bareilly. But, this budget has been increased to Rs 5000 crore in the meeting. So that, the metro work can be started as soon as possible. The administration can also provide light metro facility on a large scale to the people of Bareilly. For this, a letter has been sent to the government through the divisional commissioner. But, the project went to Thanda Basti. One of the reasons for this is said to be the challenges in the busy area and the failure of the city bus service in the city. After 2 years, once again the earnings for bringing the light metro on the ground have been started.
