Women from poor families will benefit from this scheme. Women who are in BPL category i.e. below the poverty line, will get the benefit of this scheme. Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will be entitled to cheap gas cylinder scheme. Under this scheme, all the beneficiaries will get 12 cylinders in a year at a cheaper rate. That means the beneficiaries of the scheme will be able to get the cylinder refilled 12 times in a year for Rs 450-450.
In this way you will get the benefit of the scheme
Rajasthan government has started a special campaign to extend the benefits of the scheme to the eligible beneficiaries, which has been named Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. Under this yatra, camps will be organized at various places and through them, 39 public welfare schemes will be made available to the public, of which the concessional gas cylinder scheme is also one. To avail this benefit, the beneficiaries will have to go to the camp and get registered. After that, every time the cylinder is refilled, the subsidy amount will be sent to the beneficiaries’ account.
