Anant Chaturdashi is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Rajasthan. On this day Ganesh idols will be immersed and the immersion will start from the morning itself. On this day, there will be a holiday in Banswara district on 17 September.

The collector has declared a local holiday. During this time many offices including schools, colleges, banks will remain closed.

It is worth noting that earlier there was holiday on 13th September due to Ramdev Jayanti, 14th September due to second Saturday, 15th September due to Sunday and 16th September due to Eid-e-Milad. Thus, there was a continuous holiday of 5 days in the district.

Anant Chaturdashi is celebrated with great pomp

Many events are organized in the state on Anant Chaturdashi. Big events are organized in Banswara on this day. Ganesh idols are installed in every house here. The process of immersion of idols starts from the morning itself.

It is believed that if one worships Lord Hari on this day throughout the year, one gets infinite benefits for 14 years. The Pandavas too had regained their lost kingdom due to the power of this fast.

Auspicious time for Anant Puja

According to astrologer Rakesh Mishra, the Anant form of Lord Vishnu is worshipped on the Chaturdashi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadra month. This time the Anant form of Lord Vishnu will be worshipped on Tuesday. According to Mithila Panchang, Chaturdashi Tithi is starting from 1:15 pm on 16 September and will end at 11.09 pm on 17 September. Therefore, Anant Chaturdashi will be celebrated on 17 September in Udaya Tithi. The auspicious time for the Puja is from 8.52 am to 1.31 pm.
