The central government has given good news to the farmers. In fact, the central government has extended the last date for farmers to get Rabi crop insurance till January 10, 2025. Let us tell you that the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is being run as a security cover to compensate the farmers for financial loss or reduction in yield due to bad weather, under which 80 percent compensation is given to the farmers.

Farmers can get their crops insured to compensate for financial losses to their crops due to disasters, floods and droughts. Let us tell you that the crops notified for the Rabi season include wheat-irrigated, wheat-non-irrigated, gram, linseed, pulses and mustard crops.

The last date for insurance of notified crops in the year 2024-25 has been extended from December 31 to January 10. To avail the benefits of this scheme, the farmers of the district have been appealed to get their crops insured before the last date.

For registration of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima, you must have Aadhaar card, photocopy of bank passbook and land related documents (Khatauni).
