There is a rising trend in gold prices. As soon as the new financial year starts, a tremendous rally is being recorded in the price of yellow metal and its price is reaching new record high levels one after the other. After making a record of new lifetime high level on Monday, gold has made a new record today on Wednesday. Now the price of gold is just a few steps away from the level of Rs 70 thousand.

Gold reached this level today
On Wednesday, gold prices on MCX have reached near the level of Rs 70 thousand per 10 grams. In morning trade, June gold futures on MCX had strengthened by Rs 716 to reach Rs 69,699 per 10 grams. Earlier on Tuesday, the June future of gold on MCX had closed at Rs 68,928 per 10 grams.

This record was made on the first day
Earlier, gold had also made a new record on 1st April i.e. the first day of the new financial year. In Monday’s trading on the first day of the financial year 2024-25, the price of gold on MCX had crossed the level of Rs 69 thousand for the first time. In Monday’s trade, the April contract of gold had reached Rs 69,487 per 10 grams, while the price for the June contract had increased to Rs 68,719 per 10 grams.

Silver is also shining
Along with gold, a tremendous rise is also being seen in the prices of silver. Today, an increase of more than 1 percent is being seen in the prices of silver on MCX. The price of silver contracts maturing in May has increased by Rs 926 or 1.20 percent to Rs 77,962 per kg on MCX. A day before this, on Tuesday, silver had closed at Rs 77,036 per kg.

Such rally in global markets
A rise in the prices of precious metals like gold and silver is being seen globally. In an environment of global economic uncertainty, there is demand for precious metals as a safe investment. Globally, on Wednesday, gold spot prices were at a record high of $ 2,268.44 per ounce with an increase of 0.8 percent. Whereas gold futures are up by 1.1 percent at $ 2,181.8 per ounce.
