In real hallmarking, the triangle mark of Bureau of Indian Standards is made on the gold. The purity of gold is written on it. If 375 is written on the hallmark of gold, then the gold is 37.5 percent pure.
If 585 is written on the hallmark, then the gold is 58.5 percent pure. Apart from this, if 916 is written on the hallmark of gold, then it is 91.6 percent pure. On the other hand, gold with 990 hallmark is about 99.0 percent pure.
Apart from the hallmark mark, you should also check the carat. 24 carat gold is 99.9 percent pure. Apart from this, 22 carat gold is 91.6 percent pure. In this way you can find out about the purity of gold.
