New Delhi. The central and state governments are making efforts to provide housing to everyone. The central government is running the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
In Haryana too, the government is giving 50 square yards and 100 square yards plots to the poor for free under the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme. Online applications can be made for this scheme. The last date to register in this scheme is 30 September 2024. If you also want to apply, then you can register by visiting the official website hfa.haryana.gov.in. Under this scheme, beneficiaries will be able to take a loan of up to Rs 6 lakh from the bank to build a house.
Only residents of Haryana can apply for this scheme. Only those people of Haryana who come under the economically weaker section or live in kutcha houses and belong to the socially backward class are entitled to take advantage of the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana. Along with this, the applicant should not have got a plot under any government scheme. The annual income of the applicant should not be more than 1.80 lakhs. BPL families of both rural and urban areas will be eligible under this scheme.
Expanded form of Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme
Haryana government has expanded the Chief Minister Rural Development Scheme and has now opened registration to provide plots to eligible BPL families of the state. The estimated project cost for the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme Extension (MMGAY-E) in the period 2024-2027 has been fixed at Rs 2,950.86 crore.

How many yards of plot will be available?
The state government will provide plots of 50 and 100 square yards to the applicants of Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana Extension (MMGAY-E). Under this scheme, BPL families in rural areas will be given residential plots of 50 square yards in Mahagram Panchayats and 100 square yards in general panchayats. Under this scheme, beneficiaries will be able to take a loan of up to Rs 6 lakh from the bank to build a house.
It is mandatory to have a family identity card.
To avail the benefits of Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana, a family identity card must be made. Also, the applicant’s mobile number should be linked with the PPP. This is because while applying, an OTP will come on the registered mobile number for registration.
How to register?
You can apply online for Mukhyamantri Gramin Vikas Yojana yourself. Apart from this, you can also go to the Common Service Center and apply to get the benefits of this scheme. The process of applying online is as follows..
- Visit the official portal of Housing for All i.e. https://hfa.haryana.gov.in/mmgaye.
- Click on the new registration option.
- The registration page will open in a new tab.
- Enter mobile number, family identity card ID and Aadhar card number etc.
- Now an OTP will come, enter it in the designated place.
- Click on complete verification.
- After this, click on register and register.
