Apart from China, the new variant of Corona has started showing its effect in Japan and America as well. In view of this, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has issued an advisory. The government has also started taking precautionary measures. On behalf of the Ministry of Aviation, it has been decided to conduct random corona virus test for some passengers coming from international flights from 24 December.

2 percent passengers from every flight will be tested With the rapid increase in corona cases in different countries of the world, the Union Health Ministry has written a letter to the Ministry of Civil Aviation in this regard. ‘Up to 2 per cent of the total passengers in each flight will be subjected to random testing at the airport after arrival,’ the official letter said.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, in a letter to Civil Aviation Ministry’s Rajeev Bansal, said that if someone is found to be Covid positive after random testing, the sample should be sent for genomic testing.

After giving the sample , such passengers will be selected by the respective airlines in every flight coming from other countries. Passengers will be allowed to leave the airport only after giving sample for random testing. In the coming times, the situation in China may get worse.

Every day 10 lakh people get infected and the death toll can reach up to 5 thousand. According to the update given by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday, 185 new Covid cases have been reported in the country, while active cases have come down to 3,402.
