The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) have now changed the rules regarding luggage for those traveling in flights. Now passengers can carry only up to 7 kg of luggage in a bag. Let us tell you whether the weight of the handbag will also be added to it or not.

You can carry a hand bag weighing only 7 kg

If you travel by flight every day, then you must know about the rules changed by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security for flight passengers. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) have changed the rules of hand baggage for passengers traveling by flight. Now passengers traveling on domestic flights or international flights will be allowed to carry only one bag during the journey. This includes a hand bag. That is, if the hand bag weighs 4 kg, then apart from that, the weight can be only 3 kg.

Not only this, only up to 7 kg of weight can be carried in it. For its benefit, you will have to get every bag you have with you checked. Let us tell you that the limit of up to 7 kg will be applicable on passengers of economy and premium economy class. Whereas passengers traveling in first class and business class can carry handbags up to 10 kg with them.

What happens if you carry too much weight?

For those traveling by flight, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) have set rules not only regarding the weight of the handbag but also regarding its size. According to the rules, the height of a passenger’s handbag should be 55 cm (21.6 inches), length 40 cm (15.7 inches) and width 20 cm (7.8 inches). If passengers carry a handbag or cabin bag of more weight or size than these rules, then an additional charge will be levied on them.
