Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has tabled the Economic Survey in the Lok Sabha today. According to the Economic Survey report, the growth rate of the Indian economy is expected to be 6.5-7 percent in 2024-25. The estimated growth rate for the financial year 2024-25 is lower than the economic growth rate of 8.2 percent estimated for the previous financial year 2023-24.

At the same time, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has estimated the GDP growth rate to be 7.2 percent for the financial year ending March 31, 2025. According to the report, private investment will increase in the coming times due to the strong position of companies and banks.

The document presented in Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, “…The review has projected real GDP growth rate to be 6.5 to seven percent (with variation in both directions). Keeping in mind the fact that market expectations are at a high level. ”

What has been said about inflation?
