Fastag has become necessary for all drivers today. This saves both money and time. Vehicles without Fastag not only take more time at every toll plaza, but sometimes they also have to pay more toll.
If you also drive a car, then you will definitely be aware of the benefits of Fastag. However, in many cases people also show some carelessness, which is now going to prove costly. There are some changes in the rules related to Fastag from the new month.
NHAI tightened up on Fastag
The National Highway Authority of India i.e. NHAI has taken strict action regarding Fastag. NHAI has asked all Fastag customers to complete the KYC process. NHAI has said that all Fastag users should complete the KYC of their latest Fastag, because if adequate KYC is not done, banks are now going to deactivate and blacklist Fastag.
Now only two weeks are left
The process of blacklisting or deactivating Fastags with incomplete KYC will start after January 31. Banks will also deactivate those Fastags which have sufficient balance but KYC is not complete. Today is 17th January. Meaning now only two weeks are left. In such a situation, you should get your Fastag KYC done without any delay.
Such users are also going to be worried
From next month, those users who have taken many Fastags are also going to face problems. NHAI has started the ‘One Vehicle, One Fastag’ campaign. The aim of this initiative is to discourage the trend of linking multiple Fastags to the same car or using the same Fastag for multiple cars.
