EPFO News Update : A big update has come from the government regarding the Central Pension Disbursement System.
Lok Sabha MPs from Congress Su Thirunavuk karasar and Ravneet Singh asked Labor and Employment Minister in Parliament whether the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is currently disbursing pension to its beneficiaries at different times and days, as a result of which before them Many difficulties arise and if so, the details thereof.
Whether any proposal is under consideration of the Government to set up a Central Pension Disbursement System to pave the way for deposit of pension for more than 73 lakh pensioners at the same time and if so, the details thereof.
When is the proposal likely to be implemented? the details of the benefits likely to be available to the pensioners through this proposed Central Pension Distribution System in the country; And also whether the Government has any plan to reduce the staff strength of Regional Office of EPFO by centralizing multiple work areas and if so, the details thereof?
In response to these questions, Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav said- Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has issued instructions to its regional offices to disburse pension on or before the last working day of the month. Normally, pension is credited on the last working day of the month.
However, sometimes due to technical reasons or otherwise, the pension gets credited on days other than the last working day.
