Govt Employees Tour Allowance Increased Latest Order: Srinagar: If you are a central government employee and are working in the Kashmir Valley, then this news may be important for you. Actually, the central government has decided to increase the concession and incentive package for its employees posted in the valley for three years.

Employees of which districts will get the benefit?

This incentive package will be applicable to central government employees in 10 districts of the Kashmir Valley. These districts include:

  • Anantnag
  • Baramulla
  • Budgam
  • Kupwara
  • Pulwama
  • Srinagar
  • Kulgam
  • Shopian
  • Ganderbal
  • Bandipora

What is said in the government order?

Govt Employees Tour Allowance Increased Latest Order: According to the order issued by the Personnel Ministry, this incentive package will be effective for an additional period of three years from August 1, 2024 for employees working in all ministries, departments and public sector undertakings (PSUs) of the Central Government .

It has been clarified in the order that the concerned departments will have to ensure strict adherence to the rates fixed in the package .

What facilities will the employees and their families get?

Option to relocate the family:

Employees working in the Valley will be given the option to shift their families to any selected location in India at government expense.

Transport Allowance (TA):

Transport allowance will be given to families at the rate of 80% of the basic wage of the previous month .

Daily allowance:

Employees who do not wish to shift their families to another place will be given an additional allowance of Rs 141 per day to compensate for the additional expenditure incurred in commuting to and from the office.

This decision of the central government has brought great relief to the employees working in the valley. This will not only reduce their financial burden, but will also give them more options regarding the safety of their families. The government has also ensured that all departments and public sector undertakings fully follow this policy.
