Jiostar is planning to lay off 1,100 employees. Its parent company Viacom18 merged with Walt Disney in November 2024. This led to an increase in the number of employees in some departments. However, those being laid off will be given salaries for six months to one year.

If an employee has joined the company a year ago, he will get one month’s full salary. Other employees will also get it accordingly. There will be a notice of one to three months.
