Not only central employees and officers will get the benefit of this increased dearness allowance but pension holders will also get it. After this decision of the Centre, many state governments have also approved this important decision in their cabinets.
DA Hike decision stalled due to these reasons
But there are still many states where the framework for implementing this decision has not yet been made. Due to elections in many states, there is a ban on increased dearness allowance of employees till now due to economic situation in many states.
DA and arrears will be paid soon
In such a situation, now Chief Minister of Congress ruled Himachal Pradesh Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has made a big announcement regarding dearness allowance of employees. During a program of the employees’ organization, the Chief Minister said that now the employees may have to wait for two-three months more for the increased installment of dearness allowance. On this statement, he cited the economic condition of the state government and targeted the old BJP government of the state. Along with this, he also promised the employees of the state that their two years’ arrears will definitely be paid by the government.

Along with this, the Chief Minister of Punjab has also said that the state government will consider the demand of five-day working week of the employees. Sukhu also praised the government for the Old Pension Scheme and the benefits being provided to the state government employees under it. He said that about 1.36 lakh employees of the state government are benefiting from the old pension.
