Some technical problems have arisen in the Bihar Bijli Smart Meter App under North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited since October 28, due to which consumers in urban areas are unable to view the balance of their smart prepaid meters and recharge through the app.

Keeping this problem in mind, the distribution companies have arranged for alternative recharge means for the convenience of consumers. Until the technical problem of Bihar Bijli Smart Meter App is resolved, consumers can recharge their smart prepaid meters through the Suvidha App, the official website of the power company (NBPDCL) or at the billing counter of the electricity office.

Santosh Kumar, Superintending Engineer of the power company, said that the power of any consumer will not be cut till the technical problem is resolved. He said that we consider the convenience of our consumers paramount and are trying our best to ensure that they do not face any inconvenience. The problem of Bihar Bijli Smart Meter App will be resolved as soon as possible and till then we have provided alternative means so that consumers can avail their services uninterruptedly.

He said that we expect cooperation from the consumers and apologize for this inconvenience. The superintending engineer said that smart meters can be recharged from the Suvidha app or the official website of the electricity department, NBPDCL.co.in.

Server failure will not affect power supply: Power company officials say that work is going on at a fast pace to remove the technical fault in the server. The server will be fixed soon and consumers will get relief. The company has also made it clear that the power connection of any consumer will not be cut due to outstanding bill. Also, server failure will not affect the power supply.
