The electricity company has changed its strategy regarding the installation of smart prepaid meters. Now smart prepaid meters will not be installed forcibly in rural areas. If there is opposition to the installation of smart prepaid meters in any area, then many officials of the electricity company will go there.
The misconceptions about smart prepaid meters will be cleared. Officials from the headquarters have visited many places in this regard. The focus of the electricity company is now on clearing the misconceptions related to smart prepaid meters.
Meter readers will go door-to-door to recharge smart prepaid meters in villages
According to the official information received from the electricity company, smart prepaid meters will be recharged from house to house in villages. The concerned official of the electricity company said that it was being said that a large number of people living in the village are elderly people who do not have a smart phone.
Even if they have a smart phone, they face technical problems in recharging it using the electricity company’s app. In such a situation, it has been arranged that the meter reader of that area will go to their house and recharge the phone.
Apart from this, arrangements have been made to recharge the smart prepaid meters in all the panchayats. The villagers are already identified with the meter readers.
The pace of installation of smart prepaid meters has slowed down a bit
According to the information received from the electricity company, the pace of installation of smart prepaid meters has been a little slow in the last two-four days. On an average, four thousand smart prepaid meters are installed in a day. Currently, this pace is between two to three thousand. Officials of the electricity company say that this pace will increase soon.
In the rural areas of Patna district, the situation is fine in Fatuha and Naubatpur. There is some problem due to flood. Some areas are facing some problems due to waterlogging.
