Due to this, there will be no difficulty in getting direct benefit of the state government scheme. Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company is starting the Know Your Consumer (KYC) process to update the personal details related to electricity of electricity consumers of 16 districts falling under Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions of the company’s area of ​​work in the company’s records.

Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company has informed that under the Know Your Consumer (KYC) process, the company will update the personal information of electricity consumers such as Samagra ID, mobile number and bank account etc. It is worth noting that the KYC process by the company will ensure physical verification of the electricity connection of the actual consumers and the status of their load, which will make it easier for the company to plan the future expansion of power structures in the area. Along with this, the company will help in correct identification of the consumers and tagging the mobile number accurately, which will ensure smooth operation of the company’s services.

Managing Director of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, Shri Kshitij Singhal has said that the Know Your Consumer (KYC) process will be carried out by the authorized meter reader of the company by visiting the consumer’s premises. He said that through the Know Your Consumer (KYC) process, on one hand the benefits of the state government schemes can be ensured to the electricity consumers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme and on the other hand, more transparency will be ensured in the system.

How will KYC be done by the company

To complete the Know Your Consumer (KYC) process by Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, the authorized meter reader of the company will visit the consumer’s house armed with the company photo ID and complete the KYC process using the Nishtha app in the POS machine. The meter reader will ask for the Samagra ID from the consumer and verify it through OTP sent to the mobile number registered in the Samagra database. Apart from this, the meter reader will collect the consumer’s approved load, photo of the premises and bank account information. In urban areas, the meter reader will also ask the consumer for the property ID of the premises.
