E-Filing Portal: In the last few days, taxpayers are posting on social media about the problem of problem in e-filing.
If you are also having trouble in paying tax, then Infosys company has taken a special step. The Income Tax Department on Saturday said taxpayers are facing difficulties in accessing the e-filing portal and software company Infosys Portal is taking necessary steps for the same.
Difficulty in paying tax
The Income Tax Department has written in a tweet that taxpayers are facing difficulty in accessing the e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department. As reported by Infosys, they have noticed some erratic activity on the portal, which is constantly being addressed to deal with it. The department said that Infosys is resolving it on priority basis.
Infosys gave these suggestions
The Income Tax Department has written on Twitter that a problem has come to our notice in the ‘Search’ option of the e-filing website. The Income Tax Department has directed Infosys to investigate the matter. The company has said that it is resolving the matter on priority basis.
Portal completes one year
Finance Ministry officials also said that there is no breach in the data of the portal. Let us inform that Tuesday was the first anniversary of the launch of the new income tax portal.
The new e-filing portal www.incometax.gov.in (www.incometax.gov.in) was launched on 7 June 2021. Initially, taxpayers and professionals faced problems in submitting tax returns and other forms. Due to this, the government had to extend the deadline for taxpayers to file tax returns and other related forms. The responsibility of developing the portal was given to Infosys in 2019.
