The Income Tax Department has given a deadline of June 30, 2023, to link PAN card-Aadhaar (PAN-Aadhaar Linking). If a person does not link Aadhaar and PAN card by the deadline of 30 June 2023, then his PAN will become inoperative. However, despite the mandatory PAN-Aadhaar linking, there are some people in the country who are exempted from this requirement. Aadhaar of these people will not be inoperative even if they are not linked with PAN, if they want to link PAN with Aadhaar, they will not be given penalty. These people are required to link
As per section 139AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961, every person who has been allotted PAN as on July 1, 2017, and is eligible to obtain an Aadhaar number, shall do so within the deadline of June 30 It is necessary to link your Aadhaar with PAN. If this does not happen, then the person’s PAN card will become inactive.
How much will be charged after June 30,

Know who has got exemption
1. Residents of the states of Assam, Jammu and Kashmir and Meghalaya.
2. Non-Resident Indian (NRI) as per Income Tax Act, 1961.
3. Any person who was of the age of 80 years or more at any time during the previous year.
4. Persons who are not citizens of India.
