You can apply for learning license from home

  • To get a learning license at home, first you have to go to the official website of the Ministry of Transport https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in /. After this, you have to select your state. After this, you have to click on the option of Apply for Learner’s License. Here you have to click on the option of Apply through your Aadhar card number. From this, you also have to select whether you will give the test at home or by going to the RTO office.
  • After this, you will have to enter the details of the Aadhar card and mobile number. Then you will have to click on Generate OTP. After entering the OTP, you will have to click on the tick box below and click on payment mode. After this, you will have to watch a 10-minute tutorial video in which some instructions will be given regarding driving. After the video, OTP and password will come on your registered mobile number.
  • After this you will have to fill your form and start giving the test. During this time you will have to keep the front camera or webcam of your mobile phone on. To pass the test, you will have to answer 6 out of 10 questions correctly. If you fail in the test, then you will be given a chance to give the test again. But for this you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50, if you pass the test. Then you will get the learner license in PDF form itself. From which you can download and you can get it printed.

You will have to go to the RTO office for permanent driving license

But if after this you want a permanent license, then you will have to go to the RTO office and give a driving test there, only after that you will be given a permanent license.
