Diwali Bonus: Good News! Government issued order for Diwali bonus to 6 lakh employees, check details

Jaipur. Government employees of Rajasthan have received the gift of Diwali bonus from the Finance Department. Orders have been issued to give bonus to government employees. Yesterday, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma had approved it.

Bhajanlal government has given the gift to the employees before Diwali. This will benefit about 6 lakh employees of the state government. The Finance Department has issued orders in which workers working on part time/casual/daily wages/contract or contract basis will also not be eligible. Probationer trainees will also not be eligible for bonus. The additional financial burden of the bonus will be about Rs 500 crore.

According to the information, orders have been issued to give ad hoc bonus for the year 2023-24 to all those government employees who are getting salary in pay level L-12 or grade pay-4800 and less. The ad hoc bonus will be calculated on the basis of maximum emoluments of Rs 7000 and a month of 31 days. This bonus will be payable for a period of 30 days, under which the eligible employee will be paid a maximum ad hoc bonus of Rs 6774. Out of this, 75 percent amount will be deposited in cash and 25 percent amount will be deposited in the General Provident Fund account of the employee.

Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad employees will also benefit

Bonus will be payable to Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad employees as well. Leaves will be counted while deciding the eligibility period. Leaves taken by the employee other than extra ordinary leave will be counted. Extra ordinary leave or leave without pay will be calculated by excluding it from the eligibility period. But for ad hoc bonus, it will not be counted in the service break. If the employee is on leave on 31.3.2024, then the eligibility for bonus will be checked on the basis of the last salary taken by him before the leave.

This condition was also kept, they will not get bonus

. The subsistence allowance given during suspension will not be counted in emoluments. Such suspended employee will be eligible for bonus only if he is reinstated with the start of full emoluments payable during the suspension period. If the employee is suspended on 31.3.2024, he will not get bonus. If he is reinstated later, then he will be eligible for bonus on being eligible for full salary of the suspension period. The eligibility for bonus will be determined for the reappointed employee. His reappointment will be determined on the basis of how much service he has rendered in 2023-24. Employees who resign on or before 31 March 2024 will not be eligible for bonus.

This is how government employees going on deputation will get bonus.

In 2023-2024, the workers who are on deputation will be eligible for bonus; Bonus will be given on the basis of their continuous service and eligibility. Such workers who are on deputation in government undertakings, cooperative societies, Sahitya Shashi institutions and are taking deputation allowance. Apart from the amount equal to the bonus, they will have to deposit the remaining amount in the government account. Along with this, FD has issued instructions regarding bonus eligibility regarding different situations.
