DGCA Direction to Airlines:: This time the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has made such a move that many airlines seem to be getting trapped in their own web.
At the same time, this step of DGCA is going to be a boon for the passengers in the coming days. In fact, till now, in case of flight delay, cancellation or denied boarding, airlines used to stand aside avoiding their responsibilities. At the same time, due to lack of knowledge of their rights, most of the passengers were not able to take advantage of the facilities set for them.
But, with the step taken by DGCA now, airlines will not be able to escape from their responsibilities. Let us tell you that DGCA has instructed all airlines that after booking the flight, a link will also be sent to the passenger along with the air ticket, which will have detailed information about their rights. Airlines will make this link available to the passenger through SMS or WhatsApp. Also, all airlines will display this link on their air tickets and websites.
Passengers should know their rights
According to DCCA chief Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, the number of passengers has increased rapidly in the last few years. In such a situation, this step has been taken keeping in mind the interests of passengers traveling by air for the first time. Passengers traveling by air for the first time should know what their rights are. Passengers should especially have information about the responsibilities of the airlines and their rights in case of flight delay, cancellation, denied boarding or loss of baggage.
Indigo will implement DGCA’s instructions
. On the other hand, Indigo airline says that it will implement this new rule by Tuesday. Airlines are updating their systems so that passengers can get complete information about flight delays, their rights and the process of filing complaints. Indigo said that passengers can read DGCA’s rules by going to the ‘Quick Links’ section on its website or by clicking on the ‘Click Here’ link in the ‘Notes’ section.
