Delhi traffic police closed this road for 45 days due to metro construction

Traffic Diversion: Delhi Traffic Department has closed the road due to the construction work of Metro Tunnel. This road will remain closed for general traffic for 45 days. A new route has been decided for commuters on this route.

New Delhi. To get rid of traffic jams in the capital Delhi, roads, metro and flyovers are being continuously improved. In this sequence, a new metro line is being developed. Therefore, traffic on the road is being stopped for the construction of the metro line. As per the advisory issued by the traffic department, this road is being closed for the next 45 days. The traffic police has said that this road has been closed till November 18.

According to the traffic advisory, Roshanara Road in North Delhi has been closed from October to 18 November. Delhi Metro work is going on near this road and the twin tunnel of the metro will be built by closing the road. Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory stating that the road on both sides is being closed from Roshanara Road to Pulbangash Metro Station. Metro construction work will be done during this time.

What is the new divert route?

According to the advisory issued by the traffic police, after closing this road, a new route has been made for buses and heavy vehicles. Under this, vehicles going from ISBT to Shakti Nagar via Roshanara Road will have to go to Shakti Nagar Chowk via Shamnath Marg, Civil Lines, Mall Road via Khalsa College. Similarly, vehicles coming from the other side will also have to follow the same route.

Second route for light vehicles

The traffic department has decided a second route for light vehicles like cars and bikes. Such vehicles will reach Parshuram underpass via Barfkhana Chowk via Lala Jagannath Marg, Chowk Tower and Chaudhary Nandlal Marg via Dinanath Marg and from there will go to Shaktinagar Chowk. Vehicles coming in the opposite direction will also have to follow the same route.

Using the metro is better.

The traffic police has issued advisories for people and diverted the routes and has also appealed to use public transport. The traffic police says that to avoid traffic jams and problems, use transport options like the metro. This will not only help you avoid getting stuck in traffic jams, but using the metro will also be convenient.
